It was my May Ball on Saturday, and much fun was had by all, well almost all...
As I was 'working', i.e. schmoozing backstage with all the celebs. I got to meet all of the lovely people that were performing that evening...I'll give you a quick breakdown of what happened.
First off I interviewed the Dolly Rockers, who were so funny and lovely. And from what I've heard they are on the brink of superstardom!
Yeah, so this is one of the press shots I took, and then the other one is of me and Becky with Brooke.
Next off I had an impromptu interview with maggot from Goldie lookin' chain! Seriously don't ask, I had to interview at least one of them, there were so many of them hanging around I just had to have a chat with someone! He seemed quite taken aback at first, but he was really lovely. I think he was the one that was on celeb big brother, I don't know I didn't watch it! But shhh...
And finally, the disappointment of the night, and the award for the biggest diva goes to none other than Mathew Horne, after refusing to speak to me, here are some of the quotes he came out with:
'Worst gig ever'
'Broken mixer, bad crowd.Resorted to playing Groove Is In The Heart (sigh) and even that didn't work! Has anyone at Bucks Uni HEARD music eva?'
'Oh and when I was trying to fix the mixer, someone threw a pint of booze and it hit my mate in the face. Not cool.'
This is why I love twitter, you get to find out who the dickheads are.
To be fair, the mixer did break, and there were only about 40 people watching him, but he needs to get his head out of his arse, if he was a bit more into it and interacted with the crowd, maybe more people would watch! What's a famous face if it looks like a slapped arse? And all of the equipment was dodgy that night, but the Dolly Rockers had to mime for gods sake, it affected everyone! Seriously, anyway rant over, here's a picture.
This is what he looked like for the entire set! 'Hi, I'm Mr Grumpy.'
Apart from that, it was FAB! Other celeb guests included Thomas from Skins, Kano, some weird glittery strippers and a DJ that I swear did like a 10 hour set! There was a chocolate fountain, a funfair, food stands, midgets, and a man dressed as a lion (It was wizard of Oz theme before you get confused!) And I have to mention, our VIP passes got us VIP toilets! (If you've been to our may ball before you will understand how happy this made me.)
But yeah, to summarise, good times good times....Oh, and here's a picture of me to finish...
