Hi there, I'm Jo. This blog is all about my career highlights. As you can tell, I don't as of yet actually have a career, but I still get to do a lot of cool stuff. Read on to find out more about what I get up to...If you really care.

Also

Yeah, also...I don't know if I said, but I've been promoted to entertainments editor of 'The Bucks Student', exciting stuff. I know this big announcement has been somewhat overshadowed, but I have just been sooo busy.

I'm back...and almost recovered

Right. Here is my proper blog from the festival, now that I am more alert and may actually able to write competently.
I shall start at the beginning...
This is our backstage area
We had our very own Red Bull tent to the left of the main stage where the artists came and went, had drinks, etc etc. There were deck chairs and a fake beach to replicate the one there would have been, had we actually been in Cornwall, but it was good.
And then there was the tigi bus where we did most of our interviews, with a few exceptions. They were also offering free haircuts and massages...very weird.
Anyway, when I've written up my interviews, I'll formulate a more edited piece, which should be ready in a few days, hopefully.
For now, here are a few pictures I took from the pit:

Dizzee Rascal on stage
This was Ladyhawke, although she cancelled her interviews, she gave an amazing performance.

And this is VV Brown. Who did give an interview, and she was very lovely, and has such a strong voice.

So yeah, it was fun. Here are a few random pics I took

In the correct order; 'Um Bongo is BACK', 'Paint Fight', 'Me interviewing Dizzee', 'People dressed as crayons', 'Cool acrobat guys', and 'The Dance Tent'.

Like I said, I will write a more structured account of what I did, but I'm being lazy right now, so I'm off...bye.

Beach Break 2009 (So Far)

Hello my fellow bloggers!
I am writing this blog sitting in the press area of Beach Break 2009, which is currently in full swing.
Just a little update af what/who/when/where and why so far...
Yesterday I interviewed VV Brown on top of a rather fetching double decker bus, fun times.
I also had a chat with Mystery Jets, who actually remembered me from last time!
Then I went on Friendly fires tourbus to interview them, after they'd come off stage. They were sweaty but sooo nice, and their set was incredible, I predict big things for them, BIG things.
Then, today I interviewed Cuban Brothers, Dan Black, and Jamie from Hadouken! All of whom were lovely.
I have lots of goodies for the prize fund, so long as I don't steal them.
Also, can I just say I had a hand massage today! A hand massage, at a festival! God I love being a VIP.
Yeah, then tomorrow is Ladyhawke, Ebony Bones and Mr Dizzee Rascal...Bring on the good times!

Beach Break

Ok, so I'm currently finishing my interviews for the next week. Busy busy me, I have about 12 I think. So I'm madame stress-head today. On top of that I'm just hoping that all my equipment decides to work when I'm sitting in a field.
Got to get back to it, but I thought you'd like to know who I'm interviewing :)
Here is the list thus far (I have a tendency of randomly grabbing people and asking them for interviews!)
Tuesday
3.30pm- VV Brown
5.15pm -Kate Tempest
7.30pm- Mystery Jets
9pm- Friendly Fires

Wednesday
No time yet- Dan Black
No time yet- Cuban Brothers
2pm- Hadouken!

Thursday

Then home Friday, so yeah, it's a busy busy week for me, combining that with masses of sunshine and beer, it should be amazing!

Bye for now!
